Super Combo (スーパーコンボ suupaa konbo?) es una clase movimiento especial que sólo puede ser realizado bajo una cierta condición. Por lo general son una versión más potente de un ataque especial; una variación de un ataque especial o un movimiento del todo único, los movimientos Super Combo son poderosas series de ataques, y golpean a un adversario varias veces, de ahí el término combo='combinación'.
Introducidos en el videojuego Super Street Fighter II Turbo, los movimientos Super Combo eventualmente acuñaron el término de 'Super Move' (Super Movimiento) en muchos videojuegos de lucha posteriores (a veces dependiendo del videojuego, los movimientos Super Combo serian acuñados a través de un nombre universal único para ese videojuego y su saga correspondiente). El propio movimiento Super Combo también ha sido presentado en los videojuegos posteriores, tales como los de las sagas Street Fighter III (en forma de los movimientos Super Art seleccionables) y Street Fighter IV . El videojuego Street Fighter IV también introdujo una versión más potente de los movimientos Super Combo, Ultra Combo, que a su vez fueron precedidos por los movimientos Meteor Combo de la saga Street Fighter EX.
El término Hyper Combo en algunos de los videojuegos de las sagas crossover, también se deriva de este término.
Descripción[]
Cada jugador tiene una Barra Super Combo en la parte inferior de la pantalla, que se llena mientras que el personaje realiza sus técnicas básicas y especiales contra el adversario. Cuando la Barra Super Combo se llena por completo, el jugador será capaz de realizar su técnica Super Combo introduciendo el comando específico, que entonces reducirá de nuevo a cero la Barra Super Combo. Si un adversario es derrotado con un movimiento Super Combo, entonces el fondo parpadeará en colores rojo y amarillo.
En el videojuego Super Street Fighter II Turbo, los videojuegos de la saga Street Fighter Alpha y algunos videojuegos crossover, cuando se utiliza estos movimientos, la silueta del luchador dejará sombras azules con sus movimientos.
