I only got one match in, which was my A-Sakura versus his A-Ryu.
Of course, Mako being the rank he's at, I obviously lost. However, I did get close to taking the second round off him, mainly because I blocked his Shin Shoryuken. That being said, though, I had fun - losing is all apart of the learning curve after all, and I can see why he's considered the best Alpha 3 player of the bunch.
So, whilst helping a friend with an entirely seperate project, I found an old Japanese webstite, with pages for many different games. And, on the page for SFA3, every character's generic and character specific win quote is listed.

Towards the bottom. This also includes the PSX/DC exclusive characters (Guile and remaining SSF2 New Challengers), but not the GBA/PSP ones (Eagle, Maki, Yun & Ingrid), unfortunately.
Hopefully you can get some neat little tidbits from the dialogue about your favourite characters.
I was looking through the Internet Archive, and discovered an official guidebook for Street FIghter Alpha/Zero 3 called "All About Street Fighter Zero 3". I looked at the character pages, and after running the long section through a translator, although it wasn't the most accurate, it became apparent that these were backstories detailing the context behind the character's involvement in the plot. For instance, Dan's page mentions Sakura visiting his tent and asking him to accompany her to a gathering of fighters celebrating Ken's birthday. Her reason for asking is that Dan is heavily multi-lingual (Japanese, Thai, English, Cantonese, Russian and French are all mentioned) with him agreeing on the condition that she becomes his first Saikyo student. Every character gets one of these pages, and it seems as though they haven't been translated. I'll attach Dan's as an example for what they look like/how substantial the text is.

I hope that this can lead to some neat info being found about various character backstories.
As you know, Street Fighter Alpha 3 has probably THE cheapest version of M. Bison ever (with the Shadaloo-ism and the Final Psycho Crusher). However, thanks to holding all 3 kick buttons and then pressing start at the title screen, I unlocked Dramatic Battle mode.
Using this, I used Sakura and Karin to fight my way through Adon, Akuma, Balrog, Vega, and Sagat, and made my way up to M. Bison. After four attempts, eventually Karin landed the finishing blow and put in the record books what I think is my greatest moment in video game history. I even have the X-ism Score Ranking to prove it!
