Description[]

AbiLift

Executed by pressing forward and Heavy Punch, Abigail delivers a massive hook punch at an upward angle.

Tactics[]

Abigail has a variety of anti-air attacks. Abi Lift is one of the tools he can use to stuff his opponent's jump-ins, keeping the fight on the ground where he excels at. In addition, this move inflicts decent damage and stun. It has a fairly long startup. While it can be used to anti-air his opponent, it requires quick reactions and anticipation.

Because this attack has a high hitbox, this move whiffs if his opponent is crouching. However, this move is +1 on block. It also results in a knockdown on an airborne opponent. Additionally, it is possible to link two Abi Lifts into each other if Abigail hits his opponent near the apex of the hitbox. Also, this attack can be cancelled into Abigail's special attacks, such as Nitro Charge or Giant Flip.

When Abigail's V-Trigger is active, Abi Lift's properties change. By holding Heavy Punch, he can charge this attack to increase the damage and stun. Also, Abigail gains one hit of armor while charging for this move.

  • Releasing Heavy Punch in between frames 17-30 results in the second level of Abi Lift. Hitting his opponent at this level causes a wall bounce. It also prevents them from back-rising. This serves as a huge combo starter that can be linked into a charged Crouching Heavy Punch, resulting in big damage.
  • Releasing Heavy Punch after frame 30 results in the third and maximum level of Abi Lift. The properties and damage inflicted is the same as the second level. It results in a wall bounce on hit and gives Abigail a solid way to begin combos. However, blocking this level of Abi Lift leads to a guard break, giving Abigail a free opportunity at the cost of heavy damage scaling.
