Description

Allongé

Executed by pressing down and Heavy Punch. followed by a second Heavy Punch, Manon swipes her rear hand at an upward angle. If the first attack connects, Manon finishes the combo by swinging both of her hands in a downward, yanking motion; posing gracefully at the end before returning to her stance.

Tactics

While the damage output of Allongé is slightly less than other target combos, it is mainly used as one of Manon's anti-air tools. Despite its 10-frame startup, the first move has a high hitbox that can neutralize shallow jump-ins or potential cross-ups. By linking into the second Heavy Punch, Manon then drops the opponent face-first right in front of her. This allows her to maintain offensive pressure and put the opponent in a situation where they are forced to guess Manon's next move. She can perform one of her stronger normals to confirm into a combo, or attempt to increase her Medal level by going for a command grab.

Trivia

  • Allongé is the French word for "elongate".
