Description[]
Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and punch (or two quarter-circle backward motions and punch in Street Fighter 6), Luke delivers a powerful hook. If the punch connects with the opponent, Luke dashes toward the opponent with his forearms pumped up and delivers two consecutive punches across the opponent's face. He then follows up with a barrage of quick punches to stun the opponent. Finally, Luke gathers energy in his fist and finishes with a devastating hook across the opponent's face, knocking them to the ground. Afterwards, Luke shakes off the punching arm before getting back in his stance.
Tactics[]
Street Fighter V[]
Like most Critical Arts, this move is used to end combos to deal large amounts of damage to the opponent. Annihilator can be canceled from Luke's special moves like Sand Blaster, Rising Rocket, or Flash Knuckle. The move has considerable range, allowing him to whiff punish this move from halfscreen. With the amount of damage Luke can potentially inflict, ending the combo with Annihilator can solidly score the round. The only downside with using Annihilator to end combos is that it creates separation between Luke and his opponent. While this resets the neutral game, Luke's game plan is to get in close and suffocate his opponent with his normals and pressure tools.
Street Fighter 6[]
- "A series of punches punctuated by a powerful finishing blow that sends an opponent flying. Connecting with the first hit is enough to activate the combination attack that follows."
- —Street Fighter 6
Being a Level 2 Super, it can only be canceled into after Overdrive Arts or after normal attacks. Eraser maintains its previous iteration's strength, invincibility, and usage as a combo ender, but its lesser range makes it incredibly risky on whiff. It works well in juggle combos, as the haymakers bounce the opponent off the ground and ensure a full connect, despite not technically being cinematic. At five frames, Eraser is the fastest Super Art in the entire roster, tied with Shin Shoryuken, making it useful as a reversal and for tacking on damage from juggles.
