Description

Arabesque

Manon launching Cammy with Arabesque.

"A kick performed while sliding forward along the ground that sends your opponent flying. This move is invincible on startup, making it useful as a way to turn the tables."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing kick, Manon takes an arabesque pose, then transitions into a crouching stance and slides forward a short distance, leaving a trail of ethereal feathers as she moves away from the opponent.

Tactics

Because it is a Level 1 Super Art, it can be cancelled from her normals. Arabesque can be used as a low cost reversal option. One of Manon's weaknesses is that she lacks some kind of reversals outside of supers to get her out of pressuring situations. Manon can also use Arabesque as a way to switch sides with the opponent; making it a decent option to put them back in the corner.

Trivia

  • In terms of ballet, an arabesque is a pose in which the body is supported on one leg, with the other leg extended horizontally backward.
