Description[edit | edit source]
Executed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, Lucia performs a short turn hop and swings her leg downward with an energy-filled axe kick. If no directional input or button is pressed, Lucia rolls up both of her sleeves before dropping back to her stance.
Tactics[edit | edit source]
This attack is not considered an overhead. She also cannot cancel this move into any of her V-Triggers. While Lucia can cancel her second V-Skill from most of her normals, it is difficult to perform a combo with Arrest Heel due to its long, 28-frame startup. It does build a bit of V-Meter on hit and on block. The high jump Lucia performs allows her to leap over projectiles on reaction and score a knockdown on hit. She is also -4 on block. Even if properly spaced, some characters can punish her with a cancellable 4-frame normal. While her first V-Trigger, this attack inflicts slightly more damage.
Lucia's first V-Skill gives a faster attack that can hit-confirm from her Light normals, as well as a way to cancel into her Critical Art. Tap-Kick also has more combo and damage potential than her second V-Skill. However, Arrest Heel is a better tool to use in the neutral game. She can react to her opponent's fireballs and punish them while they are recovering.
