The Avatar (アバター,[citation needed] Abatā), also referred to as the Edit Character (EDITキャラクター?) or simply as a student, is a custom fighting game character from the Rival Schools series, and the main protagonist in the Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki game modes, being the player's avatar.

Background

Gameplay

Fighting style

The avatar's primary fighting style is based on how the character is developed during the simulation mode, most moves usually being a complete copy of the normal moves of the avatar's best friends in the end, but the avatar may also learn a few unique moves not used by any of the characters encountered in the mode, like the Screw Pile Driver. Their Special Moves and Burning Vigor Attacks are determined by the number of slots they have available, in addition to the command Inputs of the ability.

In Rival Schools and Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, the Team-Up Technique is the only move the player can actively decide, being asked which one will be learned in end of the simulator. The Team-Up Techniques from Hyo, Hayato, Ran, Chairperson, and Sakura are not available for the avatar.

In Project Justice, a Team-Up Technique is learned by befriending its user. The Team-Up Techniques from Burning Batsu, Wild Daigo, Powered Akira, Momo, Yurika, and Demon Hyo are not available for the avatar. The avatar will have the Party-Up Technique from the selected school, with Taiyo High School students always having Final Symphony. The Party-Up Techniques from Hayato, Ran, Chairperson, and Kurow are unavailable.
