Description
Jamie delivering an elbow to Cammy's head using Back Shaver.
- "Lean your back into your opponent and send them tumbling backwards with three strong strikes. Throws your opponent without switching places with them."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (or the Light Attack and Medium Attack for Modern Control) near an opponent. After grabbing the opponent by the wrist, Jamie turns around and leans back onto his opponent. He then delivers a back elbow strike to the opponent's head before delivering a second one to the midsection. As his opponent bends over, Jamie spins around to face his opponent. He then steps between their legs before thrusting his shoulder into his opponent's chest in a Tetsuzanko-like style to them opponent away.
As of Battle Change Update 02.27.2024[1] Back Shaver now has a follow-up action that raises Jamie's Drink Level. Continue to hold down the throw input after the throw connects to perform the follow-up.
Tactics
Jamie thrusting his shoulder into Cammy's midsection.
Similar to most of the cast in Street Fighter 6, Jamie throws are strongest when he has his opponent in the corner. After hitting the opponent with Back Shaver, he can dash forward and put them in a throw loop to score easy damage if they expect Jamie to follow up with one of his normals. Like most of his moves, Jamie's damage output is determined by his Drink Level. While his Drink Level is at zero like at the beginning of each round, this throw inflicts below average damage. However, it becomes more potent the higher his Drink Level. If at max level, Jamie's throw can inflict more damage than any forward throw in the game.
Jamie can perform a follow up where he drinks from his gourd, gaining a Drink Level. While he loses a considerable amount of advantage from doing so and the opponent is thrown far away, he is still +7. Though he does not have access to a throw loop as a result, he can maintain the corner while slipping through his opponent's defenses, while still having enough room to land his Standing Medium Kick.
