Description
Executed by pressing down and Heavy Punch, followed by another Heavy Punch, Birdie puts his hands together and swings them upward and behind his head to launch the opponent in the air. After the first attack connects, Birdie throws his hands down to hammer the opponent to the ground. This attack consists of two attacks: Crouching Heavy Punch and Standing Heavy Punch.
Tactics
The first hit of this target combo mostly serves as an anti-air. It is one of Birdie's tools to catch the opponent's jumping in on him. If Birdie successfully hits the opponent in the air with this move, he can follow up with another Heavy Punch to slam the opponent back to the ground. This allows him to continue offensive pressure, mixing up meaty attacks and command grabs to keep the opponent guessing.
