Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) near an opponent. Birdie grabs his opponent by the collar and lifts them up. He then headbutts his opponent into the ground.
This throw attack is an excellent way to increase the distancing between Birdie and his opponent when in neutral. It also allows Birdie to pressure the opponent in the corner if they are constantly blocking his attacks, setting some mixups. The throw attack keeps the opponent on their heels.
While it does significantly less damage compared to his command grabs, it has a faster recovery. This means that Birdie can counter against his opponent if they jump in attempt to avoidhis grabs, giving him time to attack. By mixing Birdie's normal throws with his command grabs, it puts the opponent in a difficult situation where they have to guess what he is going to do next, especially when he has positional and frame advantage.
