Blanka with the Blanka-chan costume and a plushie in Street Fighter 6.
Blanka-chan (ブランカちゃん?) is a persona of Blanka introduced in the Street Fighter V series that mainly appeared as plushies and as one of Blanka's alternate costumes.
Concept
Blanka-chan was design to be "off-putting when you first look at it, but cute once you get used to it."[1]
Story
In Street Fighter V, Blanka was told that if he sold plushies of himself, he would become popular, so he asked to make many Blanka-chan plushies. However, he was overstocked and had no luck selling his plushies, which made his mother sad. After learning of Blanka's situation, Laura realized that he was tricked by the manufacturer. Laura's brother, Sean, suggests to try selling them in Japan, as they like strange things and it could become popular if it appeared in an anime or video game. In Japan, Sakura helped Blanka by making his plushies prizes from a crane game.
In Street Fighter 6, Blanka launched an online advertisement campaign featuring Blanka-chan as an "cryptid sprite" mascot, wearing a Blanka-chan costume as part of his tourism business.
Gameplay
Blanka-chan plushies are one of the objects that can appear in Oro's Tengu Stone in Street Fighter V.
In Street Fighter 6, Blanka incorporated his surplus of Blanka-chan plushies into his move set as the Blanka-chan Bomb. The player's character can obtain a Blanka-chan plushie with Nelio and a Blanka-chan costume with Blanka if they become his apprentice.
Other appearances
- The Blanka-chan plushies and costume appeared in TEPPEN.
- The Blanka-chan plushie appeared as a decoration in Fortnite.

Besides the plushie replica, Blanka-chan also appeared in other products from the series.
