Description[]
Executed by pressing Medium Kick, followed by Heavy, (or pressing Medium Attack, followed by Heavy attack for Modern Control), Akuma delivers a knee strike to the opponent's midsection. If the first attack connects, Akuma then finishes the combo by performing an axe kick, striking the back of the opponent's head with his heel.
Tactics[]
This move is one of Akuma's target combos in Street Fighter 6. The first attack has a 7-frame startup, but only hits at short range. If he does hit the opponent with Standing Medium Kick, he can link into the Standing Heavy Kick to complete the target combo. The second attack is an overhead, which can surprise the opponent if they are crouch blocking. It can also be used during juggle combos. The second attack causes the opponent to bounce on the ground, allowing Akuma to follow up with a Drive Rush or his Level 2 Super Art. Even if the opponent blocks the overhead, Akuma is -3 on block, making it difficult for them to punish. However, the overhead has a 23-frame startup. If the opponent is anticipating the target combo, they can intercept and score a Counter Hit.
