Description

Terry blasting Cammy away using Buster Wolf.
- "Charge forward with a piercing thrust, before firing a burst of energy. Its swift speed and invincibility can quickly turn the tables on an opponent."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed with two quarter circle forward motions and kick, Terry charges forward with a rushing straight punch covered in ki. If the initial attack hits the opponent, it temporally stuns them. Terry then extends his arm out and unleashes a burst of energy after the initial strike, sending the opponent flying backwards for a hard knockdown.
Tactics
Buster Wolf's good range and invincibility make it useful as a reversal and combo ender for certain juggles. Uniquely, it can be juggled into a second Buster Wolf on higher juggles. If he scores a Counter Hit with his Standing Medium Kick, then Terry can cancel into a Buster Wolf at most ranges, giving Terry a powerful option against other pokes. He can also cancel from a Medium Power Charge.
Trivia
- Terry's line "Are you OK?" from his Buster Wolf move became a popular meme in the SNK and Super Smash Bros. communities, often symbolizing either an incoming strong attack or genuine concern. Some also see it as a lighthearted example of SNK's early English translations, sometimes referred to as "Engrish."
- Yasuyuki Oda, SNK's lead director for the KOF series, explained that the line came from a personal experience at E3 1998. After getting soaked on a ride in Los Angeles, a child asked him, "Are you OK?", and he found it amusing—leading to its inclusion in Terry's dialogue.[1]
