Canassa is one of Ace's and Vulcano Rosso's special attacks, introduced in the Street Fighter EX series.

Description[]
Executed by performing a quarter-circle backward motion and pressing kick, Rosso holds his wrist out in a defensive stance while posing, during this attack, his wrist glows. If the opponent strikes the glowing potion of his arm, he responds with a counterattack. the light version stops jump in attacks, the medium version stops mid attacks and the heavy version stops lows. Depending on the version of the attack used, Rosso has different counterattacks. The light version has him do a quick hook to the opponent's shin, the medium version has him send the opponent airborne with a double kick, and the high version has him catch the opponent, toss them aside and kick them in the gut if it is a kick low. If the low was a punch, he will catch the opponent by the head and violently slam them down on the ground by the back of their head. Ace's version is identical to Vulcano Rosso's.
