Description[]
Executed by pressing forward and Medium Punch, Alex strikes his opponent with a downward, open-handed chop with his following arm.
Tactics[]

As an overhead attack, the main purpose is to break through the defenses of an opponent who insists on crouch guarding (as the attack must be blocked from a standing position). The draw back causes considerable delay, and this attack can easily be countered by an aggressive opponent by hitting Nash before he throws it. This move may be slow, but it's -4 on block. It also has great range, letting Alex apply overhead pressure farther than most characters.
In Tatsunoko vs. Capcom however, this move acts as Alex's standing medium attack (5M), and comes out noticeably faster (as well as being chain-able into other stronger normals/unique attacks, including his crouching medium). It still retains its overhead properties alongside Alex's standing Heavy (originally his standing Heavy Punch), giving him a notable close-range mixup game as both are chain-able. Added to this mix is that his jumping Heavy being his Flying Cross Chop, has no height restriction which allows it to also be a fast overhead option as well.
