Executed by pressing Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick simultaneously, Zangief strikes a pose as the commentary in the background hypes up for his next command grab. When Zangief successfully grabs his opponent with either Screw Pile Driver or Borscht Dynamite, his body turns red as he piledrives his opponent further into the ground.
This V-Trigger greatly affects's Zangief's command throws. While active, the properties of his Screw Pile Driver and Borscht Dynamite are changed, making these command throws more powerful. His Screw Pile Driver and Borscht Dynamite inflicts more damage and more stun. Zangief can also combo into his command throw after linking it with one of his Medium normal attacks, giving him more combo potential with high damage to add.
Zangief gets two chances to hit the opponent with his command throw, since whiffing only consumes half of his V-Gauge. Unfortunately, successfully hitting a command throw consumes all of his V-Gauge regardless. Additionally, unlike his first V-Trigger, this doesn't help Zangief in the neutral game as it doesn't put the opponent in any mix-up situations. However, with the right reads, Zangief can potentially end a round with one successful command grab, due to the increase in damage.
