Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing kick, Cammy leaps backwards into the air and performs a Cannon Strike. If successful, Cammy launches the opponent into the air with a Cannon Spike. She launches them further in the air with several aerial kicks. As her dazed and defenseless opponent spins in midair, Cammy gathers herself and redirects her momentum feet-first into the opponent's back, finishing with a multi-hitting Spiral Arrow. In total the move has 20 hits.
The Cross Stinger Assault, like all Critical Arts, is typically a combo ender that deals a large amount of damage, while also requiring and emptying a full Critical Gauge. It is considered to be one of the most versatile Critical Arts in the game. It has a very fast start up. Additionally, it makes Cammy invincible against projectiles. The angle of the attack is determined by which kick button is pressed. The Light Kick version has Cammy diving at a shallow angle, almost directly in front of her opponent. The Heavy Kick version has Cammy diving at almost full-screen. The Medium Kick version has Cammy diving at about 45°, right in between the Light and Heavy kicks' angle. Players must know which version and angle to use when the situation occurs. Otherwise, her Critical Art may to whiff the opponent.
This move is so versatile for Cammy. She can link normal attacks and special attacks into her Critical Art, such Spiral Arrow and Cannon Spike. Linking combos into Cross Stinger Assault can result in big damage, with or without V-Trigger and Counter Hit. Cammy can also use this move to punish projectiles, due to her invincibility. It can also be used as a tool to whiff punish opponents, even if they are far away. In addition, it's also a great reversal wake-up option. By using the Light Kick version, Cammy can avoid meaty attacks and retaliate with huge damage of her own. Cammy can use the Cross Stinger Assault as an anti-air attack. She can catch opponents jumping in or attempting cross-ups. She can also anti-air her opponent nearly fullscreen, by using the Heavy Kick Version. Unlike most characters, Cammy can get okizeme after hitting the opponent with Cross Stinnger Assault. She lands just far enough to dash forward twice to reapply pressure back on her opponent. Overall, it's a Critical Art with many uses for any situation.

- The startup and animation for this move is very similar to Cammy's Killer Bee Assault from Street Fighter Alpha 3 and the Marvel vs. Capcom series.
- The move's start up changes angle depending on the strength of the kick used, similar to Makoto's Abare Tosanami from Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and the Street Fighter IV series.
