The D.R.A. is one of Twelve's special attacks, introduced in the Street Fighter III series.

Input
All appearances Airborne onlyQuarter-circle backward + Kick

Description

Executed by performing a quarter-circle backward motion and pressing kick while in the air, Twelve angles his arms as if he was a fighter jet, and "kamikaze attacks" the opponent.

The angle of the attack is determined by the kick button pressed; heavy kick version has the shallowest angle of descent, and light kick version has the steepest, with medium kick somewhere in between.[1]

The EX Special version introduced in the same game is faster, hits twice and knocks the opponent down on hit[1].

Tactics

The attack has excellent priority and can be used as an air-to-air attack, or on grounded opponents who are in the middle of a whiffed attack.[1] If it is blocked, it has a large amount of recovery, and so is easily punished. If it hits, it does not knock the opponent down; however, it deals enough hitstun that it is generally safe on hit.[1]

Trivia

  • The abbreviation of this attack possibly stands for "Diving Roll Attack".
