G Rage | ++ |
Description[]
Executed by pressing Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick simultaneously, G's forearms and hands are infused with magma. While this V-Trigger is active, he gains access to a couple of special moves. During Dangerous President, by pressing Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick simultaneously, G performs the G Explosion. He delivers an uppercut with his molten extremities that causes an explosion of magma on impact. If no directional input or button is pressed, G spins and blows a kiss toward the camera before dropping back in his stance.
By pressing Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick simultaneously while holding down, G performs the G Rage. He undulates and twists his body to the side to absorb any physical attack. He places one of his arms in between his opponent's legs, while reaching over the their shoulder with his other arm. Hoisting his opponent on his shoulder, G jumps and spins in midair. Finally, he dives to the ground and body slams his opponent back-first on the canvas, causing an explosion of magma from the ground. If no directional input or button is pressed, G clears his throat before dropping back in his stance.
Tactics[]
Unlike his first V-Trigger, Dangerous President is only a 2-bars. This means that G doesn't have to sacrifice much health to obtain this move. It is also possible that he can use his second V-Trigger twice in one round. While Maximum President gives him a potential comeback factor, Dangerous President grants him additional offensive and defensive tools with a lesser cost.
The primary move for this V-Trigger is G Explosion. This special move is the go-to combo ender while Dangerous President is active. It is -28 on block, making G Explosion the most punishable move in his arsenal. In return, it inflicts a great amount of damage and stun for one attack. It can be cancelled from most of G's normals or his special attacks, including his Critical Art. It can also be cancelled into Message To The People or G Charge to make him even more of a threat. Each usage of G Explosion consumes 1/3 of his V-Meter, giving him at least three chances to perform this move before his V-Gauge depletes.
G also has access to a second command grab called the G Rage, in addition to his G Impact. This move has a longer startup than other characters' command throws. However, what separates this attack from other command grabs is that G gains one hit of armor during the startup and active frames. If his opponent tries to interrupt his command grab with an attack of their own, he absorb the hit and still perform the attack at the same time. Additionally, it inflicts a tremendous amount of damage and stun.
Like most command throws, the G Rage cannot be blocked. Despite how strong this move is, it still has some flaws. G Rage only gives him one hit of armor. This means that any throws or a string of Light normals can potentially interrupt the command grab. Its long startup time can also be easily telegraphed. If this move whiffs, it has a lot of recovery frames. His opponent can not only avoid G Rage with a neutral jump, but they're also in position to inflict a high damaging, jump-in combo.

Trivia[]
- This attack appears to be an homage to Total Destruction, being a special mode that lets Q perform either an explosive strike or grab. The name of the V-Trigger also references the voice that states "Danger" when Q performs his grab.
