Dark Wire (Stylized as DARK Wire in entries before EX3), is one of Doctrine Dark's special attacks, introduced in Street Fighter EX.

Description

Executed by performing a quarter-circle forward motion and pressing punch, Dark throws out a garrote wire which catches the opponent by the throat. Waiting with no input after the attack leads to Dark Spark, where Dark taps on the wire, creating a spark which makes an explosion when it connects with the opponent. Pressing back and punch when Dark Wire connects leads to Dark Hold, where dark violently pulls the wire back towards him, throwing the opponent off balance. This allows for combos and follow-ups.

Trivia

• Dark Wire functions similarly to Scorpion's infamous Spear special attack from the Mortal Kombat series, even having a similar follow-up to Dark Hold if it connects.
