Dhalsim's family, who live with him in India. His wife and son also practice yoga, while his wife can't stretch like Dhalsim their son can.[1][2]

List of known members[]

Dhalsim[]

Main article: Dhalsim

Dhalsim (ダルシム Darushimu?) is the patriarch of the family. He is known for his ability to breathe fire in various ways as well as being able to contort and extend his limbs into forms physically impossible for a normal human.

Sally[]

Sally (サリー Sarī?, Hindi: सैली), named Sari in the Udon comics, is Dhalsim's wife and Datta's mother. Dhalsim met her in Mumbai when she was attending a yoga school Dhalsim opened. She gave birth to Datta when she was 17 years old. She is great at cooking.[2]

Sally is seen in Dhalsim's endings from Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and also in the background of Dhalsim's India stages from Street Fighter Alpha 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 3. In these stages, whenever Dhalsim is participating as one of the combatants, she can be seen clapping her hands joyfully whenever her husband successfully lands an attack on his opponent, but shaking her head in disappointment whenever the opponent lands an attack on him. If he wins a round, she happily spins and jumps into the air, while if he loses a round, she falls to her knees, puts her head into her hands, and seemingly cries over his loss.

In Super Street Fighter IV, Sally is in the background of the Exciting Street Scene stage, though she won't pay any fight much mind unless her husband is participating. In Street Fighter V, she appears with Datta in the background of the Apprentice Alley stage. She is also present in the Action Card Grace from the first two SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters games.

Datta[]

Datta (ダッタ Hindi: दत्ता?), named "Dadda" in SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos and "Dada" in SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS, is Dhalsim's son, seen in his endings from the Street Fighter II games, Street Fighter Alpha 2 (as a baby), Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos. He is a penpal of Chris, Guile's daughter.[3][4] In Street Fighter 6, it is stated that he is studying to become a doctor. He can also stretch his limbs like Dhalsim but is reluctant to do so as he finds it weird.[2]

Kodal[]

Kodal (コダル Kodaru?, Hindi: कोडला) is Dhalsim's pet elephant that he rides in his Street Fighter II endings. Its parents were killed by Balrog.[3] Kodal also appeared in Dhalsim's ending from SNK vs. Capcom: SvC Chaos and as his ride in Japan Sumo Cup: Yokozuna vs. Street Fighter.

Lilly[]

Main article: Judgement Girls

Lilly (リリー Rirī?, Hindi: लिली) is a relative of Dhalsim's family[5] who originally practiced yoga alongside Sally. She is a member of the Judgement Girls and works as a film producer.[5]
