Deadly Double Combination (腹部及び後頭部への痛打(仮) Fukubu Oyobi Kōtōbu e no Tsuda (Kari)?, "Painful Strike to the Back of the Head and Abdomen (Assumed Name)") is Q's second Super Art in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.

Description

Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing punch, Q performs a combo of two strikes, a gut punch and then a two-hand axe-handle strike. However, these two strikes are so monstrously powerful that it sends the opponent flying.

The axe-handle strike hits the opponent so hard that they bounce off the ground and high into the air, providing an opportunity for juggling. If for some reason the combo is interrupted after the gut punch (e.g. the opponent hits Q just as the gut punch lands), the opponent can still be hit in most cases, and sent flying to the other side of the screen.

Tactics

The attack has a very high priority and can be used to trump most other attacks, including other Super Arts (as demonstrated below). It can also be canceled into after any successful Dashing Straight, even ones on airborne opponents.[1]

Trivia

  • In Tekken 7: Fated Retibution and Tekken (Mobile), Sergei Dragunov's new Rage Art bears a resemblance to Q's move but in a different camera angle movement.
  • G's level 3 Presidentiality/EX version of G Impact shares an uncannily similar animation, the only differences being that G Impact is a command grab and ends with an uppercut.
