Description

DeltaThrough

Cammy wrapping her legs around her opponent's neck during Delta Through.

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) and pushing backwards near an opponent. Cammy wraps her legs around her opponent's neck, putting them in a headscissors. By twisting and using her lower body and extremities, she throws her opponent in the other direction, smoothly landing on her feet as they crash stomach-first into the ground. As the opponent tumbles on their back, Cammy back flips to regain position. While the opponent is recovering, Cammy performs a backflip and returns to her stance.

Tactics

Her Delta Through does more damage, compared to her forward throw. It also builds up more EX meter. Plus, Cammy throws her opponent almost across the screen, which is an excellent tool to get them back in the corner, or to create space.

Cammy's throws are significantly crucial to her gameplay. By combining her fast walk speed, frame trap combos, and constant offensive pressure, Cammy constantly keeps her opponent guessing and on their heels opponents, forcing them take a lot of throws. This is extremely useful when she catches her opponent constantly blocking her frame trap pressure combos. By conditioning her opponent to stay on the defense, she can sneak a throw or perform tick throws to maintain pressure. After landing a couple of throws, she can utilize shimmies to bait other opponents to tech her throws, thus opening up for more damaging combos. When her first V-Trigger is active, her throws become even more of a threat. The opponent has to anticipate whether Cammy may go for an enhanced, yet safe Dive Kick, or dash forward and throw them when they are on their heels.

Trivia

  • Delta Through appears to be a mistransliteration of Delta Throw. Due to the nature of katakana, through and throw are spelled the same way in Japanese. A similar error can be seen in Kolin's Glacier Through, also a throw.
  • This move is visually similar to R. Mika's back throw.
