Description

Doublerollingsobatkick

The second kick of the Double Rolling Sobat.

Dread Kick

Double Rolling Sobat/Double Dread Kick, as seen in Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival.

Executed by charging backward then pressing forward and kick, Dee Jay hops forward with one foot while delivering a roundhouse kick with the other, then landing with that foot while delivering a backward-facing kick with the first. The distance travelled, damage dealt and speed of the attack are determined by the kick button used: light kick version will use only the initial hopping roundhouse; medium and heavy kick versions will perform both kicks, with the latter covering a slightly longer distance between the blows.

The EX Special version introduced in Super Street Fighter IV passes through projectiles, travels the furthest, deals the most damage and moves the quickest.

Origin

The move is named for the "rolling sobat", a Japanese professional wrestling term which generally refers to a backwards kick. This move partially shares its name with one of Guile's unique attacks, the Rolling Sobat.

Tactics

This technique is best used for rapid approach and finish combos safely.
