Description[]
Executed by performing a Shoryuken motion? and pressing punch, Sean performs his version of the Shoryuken. The execution depends on the game.
In New Generation and 2nd Impact, Sean performs a fairly standard Shoryuken but executes a punch at the apex of the attack that slams his opponent back to the ground. In 3rd Strike, the move has been changed to a double-handed uppercut punch that is swung upward.
Tactics[]
Prior to 3rd Strike, Dragon Smash served as a powerful move in many of the same ways as a Shoryuken, having good horizontal range, damage, and okizeme. However, its later double-handed variant loses much of its previous effectiveness in all three categories. The hitbox is particularly notorious for failing to combo from even close normals, making it considerably difficult to convert into. Furthermore, it is Sean's only super-cancellable special move, meaning that Sean's combos require incredible precision to even land a super from Dragon Smash, and even force Sean to go straight from normals to supers for his combos, drastically reducing his potential damage. Though it still has invincibility like other Shoryuken-style attacks, it does not have throw-invincibility for the meterless versions.

Trivia[]
- The New Generation/2nd Impact follow up attack reappears in 3rd Strike as a victory animation. The animation may be based of Michael Jordan's celebration after his game winning shot against the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1989.
