Description

Duck

Dudley's duck-and-dash in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.

Executed by performing a half-circle forward and pressing kick, the attack causes Dudley to put his head down and dash forward. This dash will safely travel under most projectiles (a notable exception being Sagat's Low Tiger Shot), and is therefore useful for (somewhat) safely getting close to a distant opponent.

How far he goes and how quickly he is able to followup is determined by the kick button pressed: light kick travels the least distance but recovers the quickest, heavy kick travels the most and recovers the slowest, while medium kick is somewhere in between. The EX Special version introduced in Super Street Fighter IV grants partial invincibility and more opportunity for follow-ups.

If no further input is made, that is all that happens. However, if either punch or kick is pressed at the end of the dash, Dudley will perform a followup. The properties of this followup are not affected by which kick button was used for the Duck.

Ducking Straight

Duck-straight

Dudley's followup straight in Super Street Fighter IV.

If punch is pressed, Dudley will quickly deliver a straight punch. The attack has Armor Break properties no matter which punch button is pressed, and is useful for its horizontal reach.

Ducking Uppercut

Duck-upper

Dudley's followup uppercut in Super Street Fighter IV.

If kick is pressed, Dudley will quickly deliver an uppercut which hits twice. The attack has the same properties no matter which kick button is pressed, and is useful for hitting and possibly juggling airborne opponents.
