Description

"Can be used after blocking an attack to quickly turn a defensive position into an offensive one. Can also be used when recovering from a knockdown. The input can be held while downed to perform this when rising."
—(Street Fighter 6)

Executed by pressing Heavy Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously after dodging the opponent's attack, Rashid jumps up and delivers a spinning overhead axe kick, knocking the opponent down and dealing provisional damage.

In Street Fighter 6, this move can be performed by pressing forward plus Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick (or pressing forward and Drive Impact for Modern Control) when in blockstun, a downed state or after a successful Drive Parry.

Tactics

The Eagle Slash is a valuable option following a successful V-Shift; not only does to have decent range, but it allows Rashid to break through an opponent's chain of attacks.

The Eagle Slash has been slightly reworked in Street Fighter 6. As a Drive Reversal, it serves as a way for Rashid to escape offensive pressure being applied to him, similar to Alpha Counter or V-Reversal, at the cost of 2 bars of Drive Gauge. Upon activation, Rashid is fully invincible during the startup and active frames of this move. On hit, it inflicts decent amount of provisional damage. The Eagle Slash can also break armor.

In addition to its defensive uses, Eagle Slash is also effective in keeping the opponent in the corner should they attempt to force their way out.

Following the Season 2 update, Rashid can also use Battering Ram while rising from a knockdown, making it a cheaper reversal option than an Overdrive Spinning Mixer.
