Description[]
- "Turns the Satsui no Hado into a powerful flame before piercing the opponent. Opponents are open to follow-up attacks if they reach the end of the stage after being launched."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by performing two quarter-circle back motions and pressing punch, Akuma gathers his Satsui no Hado ki and does a flaming palm strike that sets the opponent on fire, Akuma then finishes the attack with a powerful straight punch of flame that impales and bursts through the opponent, launching them away.
Tactics[]
Akuma can cancel this move from his normals or OD moves such as Adamant Flame. It inflicts massive damage and knocks the opponent back nearly fullscreen, putting them in a tumble state. If Akuma hits this move in the corner, it causes a wall splat, allowing him to continue the combo with Rago High Kick to launch them in the air. While his Level 3 Super Art inflicts more damage, Akuma can maintain offensive pressure and push his opponent close to the corner with Empyrean's End, which can lead to more guessing situations for the opponent.

Etymology[]
Gouka (劫火) translates from Japanese as kalpa fire. A kalpa is a Hindu and Buddhist unit used to measure time, each kalpa being 4.32 billion years; the roughest equivalent in western terms is an eon, being .5 billion years. The term itself refers to the Buddhist belief of the end of the world, where seven suns will individually appear that will destroy the earth by causing it to be consumed by heat that eradicates all life in the world, before the seventh sun's appearance causes the world to go up in flames.
Trivia[]
- The attack bears a heavy resemblance to the Shun Goku Satsu's appearance in Street Fighter III: Ryu Final, where Akuma strikes Ryu with a barrage of punches that release an internal Hadoken explosion on contact.
- Outside of Street Fighter, the attack is reminiscent of Gouka no Kurenai, the Desperation Move of Gaia, from Battle Arena Toshinden, and Atomic Fire, the "hadoken" special move of Zeus, from World Heroes.
