Synopsis[]
Act/Chapter/Scene | Act One, Chapter 10, Scene 1 |
Location | Kanzuki Estate |
Characters | Karin, Ibuki, Birdie, Shibasaki |
Previous | Explosion |
Next | Amidst the Chaos |
Back at the Kanzuki Estate, the TV screen that is showing the CWA tag team match has froze. The screen then goes into static, capturing the attention of almost every one in the estate; including Ibuki and Karin. As the head of the Kanzuki Zaibatsu gazes at the screen, she requests a report from her steward. Shibasaki states that a powerful electromagnetic pulse has ignited in New York (according to family's data processing department).
Karin steps outside and looks toward the night sky. She sees a mysterious satellite floating next to the moon; believing that the strange device is the one that caused the commotion. Shibasaki continues with his report; stating that one of the seven satellites has already been set off. He also reports that the family satellite, Red Spider-Lily, has also been affected and is out of commission. Karin reenters the estate and demands her steward a full report by the following morning. As she walks through the hallway, Ibuki gets out of her seat and follows behind. Karin punches her palm, sending a message to the one(s) responsible for the chaos.

Scene 1[]
[In the Kanzuki Mansion, the live feed from the wrestling match goes off the air.]
Ibuki: Huh? What...?
[Karin just stares at the screen as it goes into static.]
Karin: Shibasaki!
[Her aide promptly shows up when summoned.]
Shibasaki: Yes. According to a report from our data processing department, a strong, high-altitude electromagnetic pulse has apparently gone off above New York.
[Karin turns and walks out into the front porch to stare into the sky.]
Karin: I'd venture to guess that is the cause.
[Next to the moon, another of Shadaloo's Black Moons floats in the night sky.]
Shibasaki: It seems as though one of the seven has been detonated. Unfortunately, Red Spider-Lily was affected and has shut down.
[Karin walks back inside, followed by Shibasaki, and heads down a hallway. Ibuki stands up and runs to follow after them, leaving Birdie alone at the table.]
Karin: I want a report tomorrow morning. Whoever did this better prepare.
[Determined, Karin punches her palm to make her point clear.]
