Input
Street Fighter V Arcade Stick CBArcade-Stick-Right+Arcade Button Punch

Description[]

PsychoBlast

Executed by charging backward, then pressing forward and punch, M. Bison releases a large Psycho Power explosion from his hand as a close-range attack.

Tactics[]

EX Psycho Blast

EX Psycho Blast.

This move serves as one of M. Bison's best combo enders. Introduced in Street Fighter V, it gives Bison a tool to pressure his opponent and inflict some decent damage to his opponent. It is very effective when used at the end of M. Bison's blockstrings. Even if the opponent blocks, it can be difficult for them to punish him. In addition, if they try to counter by pushing a button, they can get hit with the Psycho Blast or be in prime position for Bison's poking range.

The startup, damage output, and recovery of this move are determined by the punch button pressed. The Light version has the fastest startup, but does the least damage. It is also the least safe on block. The Heavy version has the slowest startup, but does the most damage. Also, M. Bison is plus on block, making it one of his best tools to maintain offensive pressure.

The EX Version changes the move to be a slow-moving projectile that hits launches the opponent into the air, serving as a great combo extender. It is considered to be one of the best projectiles in the game, due to it's two-hits of armor, and massive hitbox. The speed of the fireball also makes this move tricky, allowing Bison to setup left-right mix-up situations; especially when paired with his second V-Skill. Bison can use this version to back his opponent into the corner. Even if they block the EX version, M. Bison is still safe. If his first V-Trigger is active, it gets a larger blast radius on both normal and EX.
