Season 1[]

Each character has one alternate costume in the original Street Fighter V.

Season 2[]

Some characters can have one nostalgia costume in the original Street Fighter V.

Season 3[]

Some characters can have at least one crossover costume in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.

Champion Edition[]

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition includes all costumes from all previous versions of Street Fighter V (excluding Fighting Chance costumes, Red Bull costumes, and Capcom Pro Tour DLC).

In Season 5, purchasing the game's Premium Pass grants players access to twenty-six additional costumes; including Cammy's Killer Bee outfit.

Secret Costumes[]

Some costumes have alternate versions. To activate them, the player needs to hold Arcade-Stick-Up+Arcade-Button-LKick+Arcade Button Punch x3 while the match is loading. This alternate version can also be toggled between rounds by holding the buttons during the knockout animation.

Urien has a unique button combination and match intro for his secret costumes. Holding Arcade-Button-LPunch+Arcade-Button-MKick+Arcade-Button-HPunch while the match is loading will cause Urien to burn off his clothes, exposing his loin cloth from Second Impact.

Akira has a second variation for her Story outfit by holding Arcade-Button-LPunch+Arcade-Button-MKick while the match is loading, raising her helmet's visor to reveal her eyes.

CPT Online Costume Bans[]

In 2020, CPT (Capcom Play Tour) Events shift to online due to outside circumstances. Capcom released the official rules regarding qualification, tournament dates, player eligibility, etc. Among these terms and conditions, Capcom also released a list of stages, character costumes, and costume colors that are banned during CPT Online Events.

Trivia[]

  • Colors 11-15 often pay homage to various other series or characters. An example is Cody's Default Colors 11-15 referencing Ace Attorney characters Apollo Justice, Athena Cykes, and Godot, as well as Art of Fighting characters Robert Garcia and Geese Howard.
  • Ibuki having Kirin Armor is rather odd, as one of her titles in Street Fighter X Tekken was "Armor Is For Wimps".
  • Certain Nostalgia costumes have elements that did not appear in the original designs, such as Ibuki's cape or Birdie's sunglasses. While these aspects can be removed using the alternate variation code, it can also remove certain other items entirely, like Ibuki's mask and top. Notably, Seth's nostalgia costume permanently has an area of his crotch and buttocks turned black as if he were using the Tanden Engine, when this area was previously the same color as the rest of his skin, and its variation does not affect it.
  • Interestingly, two of Ibuki's SFV alternate outfits seem to have been planned as early as Street Fighter X Tekken or at least inspired by unused outfits. Her Battle Costume has a similar unused outfit with a Tanuki paw print and uses her default hairstyle compared to the unique one in this game. The other has Ibuki carrying a purse with a paw print, something that might have inspired her story outfit having a pink purse.
  • Zangief's Sporty costume is an homage to Big Van Vader, a professional wrestler known for his matches in Japan during the 80s and 90s. The Sporty costume features a massive metal helmet and a haircut parted into two lines, both trademarks of the late wrestler. Vader served as the inspiration for both Slam Masters character Alexander the Grater and SNK character Raiden.
    • Similarly, his Battle costume is an homage to the late WWF Superstar "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Color 12 turns him blonde, making him resembles Savage's rival Hulk Hogan. The design is taken entirely from King Stallion, a character from the Capcom mobile game Otoranger[1].
  • The Capcom Cup champions have unique versions of their costumes with details exclusive only to their accounts, namely Laura's CPT costume having a pin based on Poison and Birdie's CPT costume having a unique haircut, referencing iDom's usage of both characters and MenaRD's outfit at Capcom Pro Tour 2017.
