Description[]

Seiei Enbu

Seiei Enbu's start-up flash in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.

Yang briefly pauses to gather his ki in a flash, with the Super Gauge turning into a timer. While the technique is active, red afterimages of Yang follow behind him and echo everything he does split-seconds later. Each of the afterimages inflict damage as well, much like a traditional Custom Combo.

Yun possesses a similar Super Art named Genei Jin.

Tactics[]

The echoed attacks of these afterimages cause more stun damage to the opponent, allowing Yang to more easily string attacks together into combos. The technique itself works similarly to a Custom Combo, and can be started in the middle of a combo, allowing Yang to conserve his Super Gauge for when he knows it will surely connect.

Unlike his brother's Genei Jin, where attacks take on altered attributes (such as increased speed, hits added, juggling traits modified, etc.), Yang's attacking afterimages allows for a continuous attack stream that can lock enemies in a longer hitstun, enabling him to create combos that are not normally possible, often with a high hitcount. 3rd Strike players often use Sei'ei Enbu as a tool to start a combo from an overhead (which when timed right can lead to free unblockable setups), which can also lead to an easy knockdown. Either way, Yang on the offense under the effects of this move tends to be a big threat in the hands of a good player.

Yang can also use an Ultra Combo or cancel into one during Seiei Enbu in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and onwards as long as he has enough Revenge Gauge stock to do so.
