Executed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick, Rose pulls out a tarot card and either raises it above her head or throws it at her opponent, depending on which card she is equipped with. There are a total of four tarot cards that Rose can use; each with different properties.

  • The Magician (I) (White) - Increases Rose's V-Meter and a bit of her health as long as Medium Punch and Medium Kick are held. White energy radiates from the ground and all around Rose as she holds the card up. Upon activation, The Magician tarot card appears behind her.
  • The Chariot (VII) (Red) - Increases Rose's attack power. Red energy radiates quickly around Rose, gathering all in her hands. Upon activation, The Chariot tarot card appears behind Rose.
  • Death (XIII) (Purple) - Increases the opponent's chip & grey damage. Rose throws a card radiating with purple energy at her opponent like a projectile. If the card hits the opponent, the Death tarot card appears behind them; causing their whole body to flash in purple.
  • The Tower (XVI) (Green) - Decreases the opponent's attack power. Rose throws a card radiating with greenish energy at her opponent like a projectile. If the card hits the opponent, The Tower tarot card appears behind them; causing their whole body to flash in green.

By pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick along with a down input, Rose performs Fortune Shuffle, spinning once and swapping to another card randomly.

Soul Fortune lets Rose amplify her zoning strategies by letting her set up her cards alongside her Soul Spark and Soul Punish. Though the animation may be lengthy, Rose can safely use her V-Skill with a pseudo-wall of projectiles in front of her. Rose's tarot cards are used to either buff her or weaken the opponent. However, both can happen at the same time; i.e., The Chariot + The Tower. After Rose uses a card, it shuffles to a new one. Like all V-Skills, Soul Fortune is mainly used to increase Rose's V-Gauge. Even the debuff cards give Rose some V-Meter if it hits them or if they block it. After using this move several times, plus the effect of The Magician card, Rose can easily boost her V-Meter to quickly acquire V-Trigger.

With a variety of tarot cards in her arsenal, Rose has several tools to bring each round to her side. The Magician card allows her to build a respectable amount of V-Meter, even if she uses it quickly rather than holding it. If Rose activates The Chariot card, her damage output increases by ten percent. This makes her attacks and combos even more of a threat. Rose remains buffed for seven seconds, unless she is hit or thrown.

Tagging the opponent with the Death card puts them at a bigger risk when dealing with Rose's overwhelming pressure, block strings, or frame traps. The chip damage she inflicts to her opponent is increased by half and lasts for a total of ten seconds. By piling on the grey damage with the Death card, a Light normal can inflict decent damage or taking a throw may be costly. Finally, hitting the opponent with The Tower card decreases their offensive strength by also by ten percent. While they can still inflict damage to Rose, a standard combo isn't as much of a threat when the opponent is weakened with The Tower card. They remain debuffed for seven seconds, even after hitting/throwing Rose.

Rose can also use Fortune Shuffle to switch the card she has with another one. However, the shuffle is completely random, meaning that the player has no control over which card they receive. Shuffling the card(s) does not build V-Gauge. However, it's quicker to use at 42 frames; where as the other Soul Fortune attacks has over 50 frames.

While her second V-Skill amplifies her zoning and combo potential, it require a bit of skill and finesse to master. Rose's first V-Skill is straightforward, giving Rose a plethora of options to increase her attribute or to weaken her opponent. While it comes with a bit of randomness, Soul Fortune gives her tools to pester her opponent while amplifying her abilities.
