Description[]

Executed by pressing forward and Medium Kick, Sakura raises her back leg, turns her hips over, and delivers a downward roundhouse kick. This attack replaces her previous Flower Kick.

Tactics[]

FloralKick

As an overhead attack, the main purpose is to break through the defenses of an opponent who insists on crouch guarding (as the attack must be blocked from a standing position). However, one of this move's main weaknesses is that is has a fairly slow startup, meaning that it can easily be countered by an aggressive opponent by interrupting the overhead before it becomes active. It is also -7 on block. While it can difficult to punish Sakura at max range, it is more unsafe than other overheads.

By pressuring the opponent with low, quick attacks to get them on their heels, Sakura can use Floral Kick to get through their defenses. If she manages to score a Counter Hit with this move, she link with Crouching Light Punch for a follow-up combo. Compared to other overhead attacks, this move has a longer range, allowing Sakura to surprise her crouching opponent at a distance. It is best to use Floral Kick to close out a round or while pressuring her opponent.
