Heavy kick version

Executed by performing a quarter-circle forward motion and pressing kick, Juri gathers some dark energy in her foot as she swings it. If the kick button is tapped, the energy is launched immediately like any other projectile. If held, however, Juri proceeds to fight as normal.

However, when the kick button being held is released, she unleashes the projectile energy attack via swinging her leg again. The move can also be dash-canceled after the charge, and if done this way, the button does not need to be held. The stored charge is fired when the move is inputted again.

The path of the projectile is determined by the kick button used: light kick version fires it along the ground at a low height that allows it to get under any projectile (except Sagat's Low Tiger Shot); medium kick version fires it horizontally at chest-height; and heavy kick version fires it upward at a 45° angle as an anti-air attack.

The EX Special version requires no charge and can fire its projectile, which also hits twice, at various angles depending on the 2-button combination used: light with medium kick is horizontally ground-level; light with heavy kick is horizontally at torso-height; and medium with heavy kick is diagonal upwards[1].

Tactics

The initial start-up is useful, as it will knockdown on hit, and can absorb projectiles with proper timing. It is also possible to store more than one charge per button, allowing for a plethora of combo opportunities[1].

What must be borne in mind is that if the kick button is released while Juri is not in a position to fire it (such as in the middle of a jump or while floored), nothing will happen and the charge will be lost.
