The Game Announcer is a voice that provides all of the game's commentary, and has been a main feature throughout the Street Fighter series. Its tone has varied throughout the series (and other within the same game), but it is usually a male voice. The Game Announcer tells the players when the battle can begin and when a character gets knocked out, among other things. The announcer is also known as the referee of the match.
