Description[]
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) near an opponent. Lucia first moves behind her opponent and wraps her arms around their waist. With her fingers interlocking along their body, Lucia bridges with her back and legs to lift her opponent off of their feet. She finishes the throw by slamming her opponent shoulders and back-first on the ground.
Tactics[]
Lucia[]
Lucia is an all-rounded fighter who can excel in rushing down her opponent or keeping them at a distance with her fireballs. On top of that, her throws are essential to her offense. While she can put on the brakes during her Gun Smoke to keep her opponent guessing, it also allows Lucia to sneak in a throw and break through their defenses.
German Suplex does less damage and stun, compared to her back throw. However, it leaves Lucia very close to her opponent, giving her better okizeme. After her forward throw, she can follow up with a meaty Standing Medium Kick or Standing Heavy Punch to maintain offensive pressure. If she uses German Suplex in the corner, then Lucia can cancel her meaty Standing Heavy Punch into her EX Light Flipper Shot to continue pressure and keep her opponent on the defense.
Zangief[]
Zangief is a grappler who specializes in throws and command grabs to break through the opponent's defense and inflict maximum damage. Mixing up his normal throws with his signature Screw Piledriver is crucial to his game plan. By utilizing the many throws he has in his arsenal, Zangief can keep his opponent on their heels and force them to make a mistake. While his command grabs inflict more damage, his normal throws has a faster recovery; making it useful when baiting out a jump.
German Suplex inflicts slightly more damage compared to his Bodyslam. If used as a Punish Counter, then it inflicts even more damage than using his back throw. German Suplex also results in a Hard Knockdown on hit. This move is also useful to push the opponent closer toward the corner. However, he cannot get a throw loop afterwards once in the corner. Another drawback for this move is that it gives Zangief poor okizeme afterwards.
