Description

Executed by pressing down and Heavy Punch (or pressing down and Heavy Attack for Modern Control) during a forward jump, A.K.I. flips over and holds her claws out beneath her as she falls.

Tactics

GongFu

This move functions similarly to F.A.N.G's forward Jumping Heavy Kick. The main purpose of this move is it gives A.K.I. another cross-up move like her Jumping Light Kick. With her floaty jump, it is important to properly space the jump to make it difficult for the opponent to punish, even on whiff. Unfortunately, this cannot be used when her opponent is in the corner since A.K.I. may land in front of her opponent instead of behind them.

Trivia

  • The characters of this can also be read as Baxia (蚣蝮 Japanese: Haka; Pinyin: Bāxià?), one of the nine sons of the Dragon King. The bāxià is a hybrid of a reptile and dragon that likes to drink water, and is typically used on bridge structures.
