Description[]

Goshoha

Akuma striking Cammy's midsection during Goshoha.

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) near an opponent. Akuma grabs his opponent by the collar and pulls them towards him. He the takes a step forward and delivers an explosive palm strike to his opponent's midsection, knocking them away on their back. In Street Fighter 6, Akuma grabs his opponent by the back of the head and applies pressure on their neck, forcing them to bend over. He then delivers two alternating palm strikes; the first one uppercutting them underneath the chin while the second one thrusting into the opponent's midsection.

Tactics[]

GoshohaSF6

Akuma thrusting Cammy mid uppercut during Goshoha.

This move is good for pressuring the opponent and opening up their defenses. While this throw does less damage and than his back throw, it leaves his opponent somewhat close to his opponent. After the throw, he can dash forward and maintain offensive pressure; suffocating them with normals or fishing for Crush Counters. Akuma has a range of options to utilize, regardless of what kind of wake-up his opponent performs. Lastly, the Goshoha is more devastating in the corner. Akuma can throw his opponent again in a pseudo-throw loop in the corner. Because of the spacing after the throw, Akuma can continue throwing his opponent. By conditioning them to tech throws or respond on wake-up, Akuma has a number of ways to open his opponent for bigger damage.

In Street Fighter 6, Akuma can perform a Drive Rush after hitting the opponent with Goshoha to continue offensive pressure. He can also stay back and deliver a Gou Hadoken or charge up his fireball to continue zoning out the opponent with projectiles. In the corner, Akuma can walk up to the opponent and put them in a throw loop. He can also deliver a meaty Standing Heavy Punch to catch them teching and inflict more damage.
