Description[]
- "Leap onto your opponent and bite them multiple times before slamming into them with an electrically charged spinning tackle. The leap performed upon activation can be used to deal with projectiles."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing kick, Blanka leaps forward, grabbing and biting on the opponent upon hitting them. After stomping Blanka double-stomping on his opponent's chest to bounce off them, Blanka pounds his own chest as his body surges with yellow electricity. He swings his arms upward to launch the opponent into the air. As they are falling, Blanka uses an electricity charged Rolling Attack to knock the opponent out of the air.
When used as a Critical Art, Blanka's body powers up with white electricity. After he rolls through the opponent on the first Rolling Attack, Blanka turns in midair and cuts through the opponent with a secondary Rolling Attack that drives them to the ground.
Tactics[]
Since this is Blanka's Level 3 Super Art, this is his strongest move in his arsenal. Ground Shave Cannonball is mainly used to end combos and finish off the opponent. He can cancel Ground Shave Cannonball from his normals, unique attacks, or special moves such as Rolling Attack or Electric Thunder. When Blanka is down to 25% or less of his health, this move gain an additional boost of damage. He is fully invincible during the startup frames of this move. Even if the opponent blocks, it can inflict a good chunk of provisional damage than may result in a chip KO if the opponent is in blocks the move while in burnout with minimal health. It also has a lengthy cinematic. This allows Blanka to recover Drive Gauge while simultaneously draining the opponent's meter during his Super Art.
However, the power of Lightning Beast makes Ground Shave Cannonball a somewhat less popular option thanks to its high damage, incredible mixups, and easy conversions. Due to an oversight, Blanka is considered airborne for most of the animation, making him recover considerably less Drive Gauge than other characters. For these reasons, it is a somewhat less commonly used Level 3 Super Art outside of securing KOs.
