Depending on which attack button(s) is used before she lands, Lucia performs a different follow-up. This command dash is essential to her gameplay. She can cancel Gun Smoke from most of her normals. By cancelling into Gun Smoke on hit, she can perform one of the following special attacks to extend or end combos.
The EX version is executed by pressing two punch buttons. This gives Gun Smoke a faster startup and allows Lucia to cancel into her special moves more quickly. Performing the EX Gun Smoke also enhances her follow-up special attacks, thus increasing the damage output or gaining certain properties.
Braking[edit | edit source]
|Street Fighter V||+>|
Braking is executed by pressing back during Gun Smoke. This move is also performed when no follow-up command is inputted before the end of the dash. Lucia quickly skids to a halt. This is the only move in her arsenal that is not an attack. The primary purpose of braking is to extend pressure. If her successfully blocks a normal as she cancels into Gun Smoke, she can use Braking to put herself in a safer position rather than cancel into an unsafer special move. Canceling into Braking can potentially keep her opponent on their heels. While they are still on the defense and anticipating what move Lucia may perform next, she is in range to perform one of her throws.

If no directional input or button is pressed after the attack, Lucia bounces on her toes before dropping back to her stance. This attack is her main combo extender. It is +3 on hit, allowing her to follow up with Crouching Light Punch for more damage.
Like most of her follow-up attacks, this one is unsafe. Because it is-6 on block, her opponent can easily punish her since she closer to them at the end of Rough Chase. However, this move becomes even more dangerous as a meaty on their wake-up. Not only it becomes safe on block at -1, but also gives Lucia excellent frame advantage if she scores a Counter Hit, opening up more combo and damage potential.
The EX version is performed by pressing any punch button during EX Gun Smoke. This time, Lucia delivers a spinning back elbow into her opponent's midsection. On hit, it puts them in a crumple state. Lucia can the follow-up with a Heavy Fire Spinner to launch them in the air, or Standing Heavy Punch for another opportunity to cancel into Rough Chase. While the EX version is less safe on block, she can cancel into her V-Trigger to regain frame advantage.

|Street Fighter V||+>|

Unlike Rough Chase, this move serves as one of her combo enders during Gun Smoke. Out of her three follow-up attacks, this one inflicts the most damage. It also has the fastest startup, making it a solid way to end combos that's linked into one of her Heavy or Medium normals. Tornado Spinner results in a knockdown on hit. However, the second hit of the attack won't come out if the first kick is blocked. In addition, this is move is very unsafe on block. As she is falling toward the ground, her opponent has enough time and frames to punish Lucia with a high-damaging, ground combo.
The EX version is performed by pressing any kick button during EX Gun Smoke. In addition to the two kicks, Lucia performs a third kick to launch her opponent high into the air. It inflicts more damage and stun than the regular version. EX Tornado Spinner is still unsafe on block. However, Lucia regains a bit of meter on the second hit of this attack.

The EX version is performed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick during EX Gun Smoke. In addition to the two kicks, Lucia performs a spinning back fist that sends her opponent spinning to the ground. It inflicts more damage and stun than the regular version. EX Cyclone Spinner is still unsafe on block. However, Lucia regains a bit of meter on the second hit of this attack. She can also cancel the first hit of EX Cyclone Spinner into her V-Trigger. While on hit she gets a decent combo extender, canceling into V-Trigger makes this move also safe on block.
Nubbing Needle[edit | edit source]
|Street Fighter V||+>+|
(Only during V-Skill II)
Nubbing Needle is executed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick during Gun Smoke while equipped with her second V-Skill. Lucia delivers a jumping knee strike. Despite having a longer startup than Cyclone Spinner, it can be cancelled from her stronger normals such as Crouching Heavy Punch. This move inflicts more damage than Rough Chase and has decent range. While it does not result in a knockdown on hit, it leaves Lucia at -2 if blocked. If she can hit her opponent at the tail-end of this attack, she gets better frame advantage, allowing her to link into Crouching Medium Punch for extra damage. Lucia can also end juggle combos with Nubbing Needle. Just like Cyclone Spinner, this follow-up attack grants Lucia a bit of V-Meter on hit.
The EX version is performed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick during EX Gun Smoke. In addition to the knee strike that launches her opponent in the air, Lucia performs a short turn hop and swings her leg downward with a heavy axe kick. The second hit of the EX version doesn't come out if the first attack is blocked. It inflicts more damage than the regular version. EX Nubbing Needle is still -2 on block. However, it results in a knockdown on hit and leaves Lucia close to her opponent, giving her good okizeme.
While Lucia's first V-Trigger is active, her Tornado Spinner and Cyclone Spinner becomes amplified, gaining more damage and better properties.
