The Hado Shoryuken (波動・昇龍拳, Hadō Shōryūken, "Surge Rising Dragon Fist") is an attack used by Ken and Ryu during the events of Street Fighter II V. The name is later used for one of Ryu's special attacks in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

After having been kidnapped by M. Bison, Ken discovers that he can channel ki in a manner similar to Ryu. While spending some time developing the skill, he also gains psychic abilities, sensing Ryu being taken over by the cyber chip. Ken gathers his energy, but it threatens to explode out of his body, forcing him to focus the energy; his thoughts then turn to his previous opponent Vega, and he leaps into the air with a Shoryuken so powerful that it blasts right through the ceiling, emitting an explosive powerful beam of energy that shot into the sky.

Ken uses this technique again during his fight against the brainwashed Ryu, and once more against Bison. During battle, Ken does a variation of this technique where he leaps against a wall and jumps towards his foe, performing the move horizontally.

Ryu also utilizes it in the battle against Bison.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

In Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Ryu performs a Shoryuken that is powered up with the blue energy commonly seen in his Hadoken. When it hits, the strike sends a Hadoken that fires directly up, striking the already airborne opponent.[1]
