Description
- "An overhead attack that cannot be blocked while crouching."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing forward and Heavy Punch (or pressing forward and Heavy Attack for Modern Control), Terry steps forward and strikes the opponent with an overhead swing punch.
Tactics

This move is an overhead, giving Terry a tool against an opponent who is constantly crouch blocking. It also slightly moves Terry forward as he delivers the attack. While it has a lengthy 22-frame startup, Hammer Punch is -2 on block. It can be used out of a Drive Rush to make Terry +2 on block. On hit, he can link into Crouching Medium Punch to give him a combo route from an overhead. This move is more of a threat when pressuring the opponent with strong normals and surprising them with Drive Rush. This puts them in a position to guess what Terry's next attack may be.
