Description[]

Tactics[]

StreetFighterV 1 19 2020 1 19 00 PM

Sagat flattening his opponent with Hanuman Charged Tiger Knee.

Similar to Sagat's first V-Skill, Hanuman Charge has a total of 50 frames. Once performed, the next Tiger Knee Crush that Sagat delivers builds V-Meter; regardless if the attack hits, whiffs, or is blocked. The startup, range, and damage output remains the same. However, Hanuman Charge increases the hit and blockstun of the next Tiger Knee Crush. This makes each version of the move less punishable on block. The Light version and the EX version becomes 0 on block, with Medium and Heavy at -2. When properly spaced, Sagat can be incredibly plus on block, allowing true blockstrings that build V-Meter. Enhancing Tiger Knee Crush also removes hurtbox on the knee, making it even safer in neutral.

Hanuman Charge also changes the juggle state of Tiger Knee Crush. Sagat can use his special move to extend combos. He can cancel the enhanced Tiger Knee Crush into EX Tiger Uppercut or the Light version if in the corner, and if close enough, midscreen as well. If his first V-Trigger is active, he can cancel from his Tiger Cannon for more damaging juggle combos. With his second V-Trigger, a charged Tiger Spike can also result in better juggles. Using the Heavy amplified Tiger Knee gives Sagat excellent okizeme. Rather than creating separation, the Heavy version puts the opponent at point-blank. While Sagat can end the combo with EX Tiger Uppercut, dashing forward gives him huge frame advantage, regardless if his opponent quick or back rises.

While Sagat's first V-Skill gives him an invincible reversal option with a more damaging Tiger Uppercut, Hanuman Charge provides a more offensive method to build V-Meter on whiff and block. In exchange for the more powerful juggles following an enhanced Tiger Uppercut, Sagat's second V-Skill makes him more of a threat up close and midscreen, granting him the ability to enhance his damage while also maintaining the offense on block.
