Hard Shot (ハードショット Hādo Shotto?) is Luke's first V-Skill in Street Fighter V.
Street Fighter V | + |
---|
Description[]
Executed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, Luke's wrists spark up and leaves the tops of his arms red. This puts him in a state where all the charged-up properties of Flash Knuckle can be used without holding the button. However, holding the button while in the Hard Shot state further changes the properties of Flash Knuckle, adding second hits to the attack (does not apply to EX Flash Knuckle).
The state disappears once Flash Knuckle has been used once.
Tactics[]
Being equipped with Hard Shot allows Luke to execute a fully charged Flash Knuckle without actually having to hold the button. The V-Skill itself has a 50-frame startup. The best time to perform Hard Shot is after a knockdown while the opponent is covering. Luke can sacrifice okizeme to charge up his V-Skill. While this does reset the neutral game, Luke has a stored V-Skill ready to go that can potentially lead to powerful combos.
When Hard Shot is active, Luke's next Flash Knuckle gains its enhanced properties from the charged version. The Light version launches them higher in the air, while the Medium version causes a wall bounce. Both can be followed up with another special attack. The Heavy version inflicts more damage and puts Luke +2 on block. When the punch button is held, the Flash Knuckle gains a second hit and has greater juggle potential, allowing Luke to perform damaging combos.
