The Hassoukyaku (八艘脚, Hassoukyaku^?) is one of Maki's special attacks in the Street Fighter Alpha series.

Description

Executed by performing a quarter-circle backward motion and pressing either punch or kick while in mid-air, Maki suddenly changes direction and grabs the "side" of the screen. The action performed right after depends on which button was pressed to execute the move.

• If is pressed, Maki jumps forward half of the screen. This is useful for a quick escape/confusion maneuver.
• If or is pressed, Maki dives forward a short or medium distance. If she touches the opponent, she then flips over and attacks with a powerbomb.
• If is pressed, Maki simply drops down harmlessly, being somewhat useful for quick feints.
• If or is pressed, Maki drops forward with a short or medium range diving kick.
