The Hell Attack is a unique attack used by M. Bison in his appearances in the Street Fighter IV series, Street Fighter X Tekken and Street Fighter V.

Description

Executed by pressing medium punch twice in succession mid-jump, Bison performs his jumping medium punch and then lands another punch infused with Psycho Power. Prior to Street Fighter V, Bison could only use this attack during a forward or backward jump.

Tactics

This attack is an optimal anti-air, especially after guarding or a backwards teleport. In Street Fighter V, Bison can now use it during a vertical jump, allowing him to use it after using Psycho Reflect on a one-hit aerial attack such as Akuma's Zanku Hadoken or Cammy's Cannon Spike. It is very good for juggling, making it an combo starter during a forward jump. It can combo into a variety of followups, such as a normal attack, Double Knee Press, Psycho Blast, or even Knee Press Nightmare. During a backward jump, Bison can use this to jump over and punish certain attacks that propel the opponent forward, such as his own crouching heavy kick or Balrog's Dash Straight. Doing this can even make charging some of his special moves or finishing moves much easier, to the point he can make use of them upon landing. The first hit can be whiffed in order to respond in time to an opponent's attack, and it won't make much of a difference.
