The Hellstab (ヘルスタブ Herusutabu?) is one of Zangief's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter 6.

Description[]
Executed by pressing down-forward motion and Medium Punch (or pressing down-forward and Medium Attack for Modern Control), Zangief crouches down and jabs the opponent diagonally upward with his fingers.
Tactics[]
This move has a 7-frame startup, making it his fastest Medium attack. While it does have a very short range, it forces a crouching opponent to stand. Zangief can cancel Hellstab into Double Lariat, though he needs to be close to his opponent for both moves to combo into each other. Despite its appearance, this move is not a reliable anti-air attack. It can be useful to interrupt attacks like Ken's Dragonlash Kick. On hit, Hellstab puts an airborne opponent in a juggle state. If high enough, Zangief can immediately jump and deliver an OD Borscht Dynamite or OD Cyclone Lariat in the corner. He can also link into his Level 1 Super Art for maximum damage.
