Description

Mai performing Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi in Street Fighter 6.
- "Cartwheel forward before jumping and striking with a vicious elbow. Easy to use as part of a combo when canceling from a normal attack."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by performing a quarter-circle forward motion and pressing kick (or pressing down and Special Attack for Modern Control), Mai performs a cartwheel toward her opponent, delivering a knee strike with the leading leg if she is close to them. Upon completing the rotation, Mai leaps toward the opponent and delivers a flying elbow lung to knock them away. Performing the OD Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi has Mai jump and deliver an upward flying elbow lung, launching the opponent into the air for a follow-up strike.
Tactics
The strength of the kick button pressed determines the moves startup, range, and damage output of this move. The Light version has the fastest startup, but it inflicts the least damage. It also has the shortest range, giving this version less corner carry potential. The Light version can be used to end combos from Light normals. Medium Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi has a slightly longer startup, but inflicts more damage and has better corner carry. The Heavy version inflicts the most damage and has the longest range. The OD version has a faster startup than the Medium version and launches the opponent in the air due to its upward attack angle. After hitting the opponent with this version, she can follow up with an aerial attack like Jumping Medium Punch. She can also cancel into Musasabi no Mai or her Level 2 Super Art.
Activating her Level 1 Super Art gives Mai five Flame stocks that amplifies her special moves and Super Arts. Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi is one of the moves affected by this power-up. At the cost of one Flame stock, Mai receives a slight damage boost to this attack.
